Russell Crowe Donates Money To Help Fan Pay For Acting Education

Mr. Russell Crowe is paying it forward, a new report from People Magazine revealed today. The 56-year-old Gladiator star reportedly donated a modest chunk of money to help an aspiring actor get an education.
Harry Pritchard created a GoFundMe page earlier this month explaining how after three years of trying to gain acceptance, he had been allowed to enter the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. However, Harry revealed he didn’t have the money to pay the tuition.
Mr. Pritchard said on his page that when he first found out he got accepted to the program, he thought to himself, “dream come true.” He went on to say, however, that money was an issue, after having moved to London when he was just 18-years-old.
Mr. Pritchard explained how he had come from a family who couldn’t afford to send him to school, and he missed the bursary deadline. The aspiring actor claims he missed out on the bursary and didn’t place for it until after it had been given away.

Harry claimed he has been saving every bit of money over the last year but it won’t be enough to cover his rent, groceries, and other important amenities, let alone the tuition, which costs around $18,430 US.
According to People Magazine, Russell Crowe pitched in around £2,741. The actor wrote on Saturday that he was looking forward to seeing his success in the industry. The Gladiator alum went on to thank all of the other people who had donated money for the cause.
Coincidentally, a Russell Crowe-fronted movie, Unhinged, was the first film to make it into the theaters this year after the cinemas shut down due to the coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
Despite the fact the film had underperformed it did quite well considering the circumstances as well as the fact it had received a partial opening at the time. Since then, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet was released and it made over $50 million in its first weekend in 41 countries.
Movie theaters have just started opening up around the United States and other parts of the world.
