The actor has been helping someone find a lost item that means a lot to them. That being said, Ryan Reynolds went as far as to offer a $5,000 reward if the custom teddy bear lost by a woman would be returned to her – no questions asked!
The touching story is that Mara Soriano, a 28 year old woman, was moving into her new Vancouver apartment last week when she, amid everything, lost sight of her backpack for a bit and it disappeared!
As a result, she lost all of the contents of the said backpack, including a book of blank checks, her iPad, citizenship card, a Nintendo Switch, her passport and more!
However, the one item she really cares about is a stuffed animal that features an audio recording of her late mom, Marilyn Soriano, who sadly passed away after battling cancer last year. She was only 53.

‘It just makes me feel devastated. I’m absolutely crushed. At hospice her voice was different. Much softer. Not the mom I grew up with. That bear’s the last memory I have of her talking in her normal voice. She said she loved me and was proud of me and that she will always be with me,’ she told CBC during an interview. ‘The bear has a message in it in Filipino. It says ‘I love you,’ but in our language. So it is very specific and unique.’

It was in a herschel back pack when stolen along with an iPad.

The story of the lost Teddy bear grabbed a lot of people‘s attention, including Reynolds‘, who really felt for her and decided to help out by offering a massive reward to anyone who returned the bear to its owner.
Ryan tweeted: ‘Vancouver: $5,000 to anybody who returns the bear to Mara. Zero questions asked. I think that we all need this bear to come home.’
And it turns out that the post was really effective because Maria Soriano’s stuffed animal has been returned by someone who claimed they took the toy from the thief.
‘BREAK OUT THE @AviationGin, @VancityReynolds !!! MAMABEAR IS HOME!!! #FOUNDMARASBEAR,’ she updated everyone on her platform.
