The actor family is getting ready to celebrate Christmas, but it’s not going to be a huge event for obvious reasons! Ryan Reynolds told fans that this year, he and wife Blake Lively, as well as their young ones, are going to mark the holiday in a much more low-key manner because of the COVID-19 pandemic!

What this means is that the stars are going to be spending a socially distanced Christmas at home, in order to make sure that they are all safe from the dangerous virus.

Furthermore, the man made it clear that his and Blake’s kids are not going to see their grandparents this Christmas and shared a message about social distancing, making sure to praise all those families who are sacrificing similar things for the greater good of everyone.

At the end of the day, that is just being responsible amid a global pandemic and his message shared on IG Stories highlighted the importance of that.

Ryan wrote that ‘My kids won’t see their grandparents this year for Christmas. Or friends or aunts and uncles. It sucks. My hat’s off to so many others doing the same.’

As fans know, the actor couple shares three amazing daughters together – 1 year old Betty, 4 year old Inez and 6 year old James!

This comes after Ryan also chatted with ET last month, telling the news outlet all about how much he has been enjoying spending time with his family amid the quarantine.

‘I have a new baby. She is a little over a year now, so I really like hanging out with her, ‘cause it is fun watching her grow up. It’s been interesting – 2020 has been a weird year. I have appreciated the time that I’ve been able to spend with my family, while also recognizing the world’s a crazy place right now and it is truly challenging for a lot of people.’
