Ryan Seacrest Was Briefly Denied Entrance To Jennifer Lopez’s 50th Birthday Party – Here’s Why

Ryan Seacrest was briefly denied entrance to Jennifer Lopez’s 50th birthday party in Miami. No, he was not crashing the party.

On Thursday’s episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan, the host shared his experience with pal Kelly Ripa. After flying down to Miami to attend the lavish bash of his friend, Seacrest had an issue getting into the invite-only event.

“She sent me an invitation, and I was like, ‘Wow, I got a direct invitation, but the catch was, it was in Miami. So, I committed, but I didn’t read the small print,” Seacrest admitted.

The two are good friends from their days working together on American Idol. Seacrest was on a tight schedule since the party was Wednesday night and he had to be back in New York to film the ABC show early Thursday morning.

“I’ve known her for a long time. I’m going, I’m getting down there; I’m getting back in time, and I’m gonna be there because I got the personal invite,” the 44-year-old shared with the audience.

However, there was a little snafu when he arrived at the party.

“I get to the front, proud, beaming, smiling. And the guy has a list, and I see there are a bunch of Ryan’s, and he says, ‘Well, you’re not on the list. This is a true story. So I say, ‘Clearly, there must be a mistake. She invited me personally. Can I see the list?’ Well, sure enough, there’s Ryan T. and Ryan Z., there’s no Ryan Seacrest,” the host stated.

Seacrest went on to admit he thought despite not being on the list that the man would let him in any way. After all, it is public knowledge he worked with Lopez. Nope, instead, he was directed to wait under a fan.

The story does have a happy ending. Ryan Seacrest was eventually granted access to Jennifer Lopez’s 50th birthday party. He later had trouble sneaking way because he was seated next to the guest of honor and her fiancé Alex Rodriguez.

After watching A-Rod give a heartfelt speech honoring his lady love, Seacrest finally managed to make a break for it. He caught his plane back to New York but had major FOMO all the way home.

Rodriguez, Lopez and more kept posting fabulous fun videos and photos from the party after Seacrest’s exit. He admitted he missed out on a lot of fun but was glad that he able to make a brief appearance for his friend.
