Sarah Palin Speaks Out About Nasty Divorce — Todd Palin Filed For Divorce On His Birthday

Sarah Palin opened up to Christian broadcaster Dr. James Dobson from Focus on the Family in a lengthy interview where she spoke about her nasty divorce proceedings with husband Todd Palin. The former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate revealed the shocking news that Todd, her husband of 31 years didn’t even speak to her directly about wanting a divorce. Sarah Palin said that on June 19, 2019, she received an email from Todd’s lawyer who notified her about Todd’s intentions.

It wasn’t until September 6, on what was Todd’s 55th birthday, that Sarah Palin was actually served with divorce papers. To think that Todd chose his birthday to file for divorce has made many question whether he thought divorce was the best birthday present he could give himself.

Dr. Dobson remarked that Todd Palin didn’t even tell Sarah about his intentions. Sarah Palin explained as follows.

“I did. I found out from an email from an attorney saying that she was hired and that was on June 19th, I’ll never forget it. Then on Todd’s birthday, a week after our 31st anniversary is when he filed, yeah. Oh, yeah. It’s not easy to talk about.“

In the second portion of the interview, Sarah Palin spoke specifically about Todd filing for divorce.

Sarah Palin is definitely going through a hard and difficult time. She said that she is devastated and feels as if she has been shot.

Divorce is always difficult but for many, it comes with a warning. Sarah Palin had no warning this was coming and it happened close to her anniversary and at a time where she would have been prepared for her husband’s birthday celebration.

There are also reports that Sarah is trying to save her marriage and that she and Todd are open to counseling. Sarah made it clear that she believes it is God’s will for families to stay together and that she doesn’t want the divorce to proceed.
