Sasha Obama To Start College At The University Of Michigan - Insider Details!

It looks like Barack and Michelle Obama’s younger daughter, Sasha is getting ready to start her University journey as well, following her older sister, Malia 21. The 18 year old was reportedly seen at an orientation at the University of Michigan.

One source also tells ET that ‘Sasha is living in the dorms like a normal college freshman. I have seen her on campus, I’ve met her and she seems excited for the school year. She just wants to try and have as normal of a college experience as possible but she kind of accepts that it won’t really happen and it’s going to be different for her.’

And that is not all! Another insider also told the site that her dad, the former president, was seen on campus as well earlier this week.

In the meantime, her older sister, Malia took a gap year back in 2016 but the following year, she started her studies at Harvard.

That being said, in September of 2017, shortly after dropping Malia to college, Barack shared with WDEL 101.7FM in a clip just how difficult it was to drop her off.

‘For those of us who have daughters, it happens fast. I dropped off Malia at college, and was saying to Joe and Jill [Biden] that it was a bit like open-heart surgery. I was proud I did not cry in front of her. But on our way back, the Secret Service was looking straight ahead, pretending they were not hearing me as I sniffled and blew my nose. It was rough.’
