Selena Gomez Fans Speculate That She's Been Cast In ‘Scream 5’ And Here's Why!

Is Selena Gomez going to have a role in the fifth installment of the Scream movies? Fans definitely think so after Courteney Cox commented ‘can’t wait to meet you’ under the singer and fellow actress’ latest post on her IG account. Since Cox is confirmed to be part of Scream 5, this comment caused many speculations to spread all over social media.

After all, what other opportunity would these two actresses have to meet each other in the middle of a pandemic if not for a common, future project?

And that was not the only clue that led people to believe Selena Gomez has been cast in Scream 5.

The other main one is the fact that, at this point in time, all four of the OG cast members who confirmed their returns to the film suddenly decided to follow Selena on her IG!

In case you weren’t aware, they are: Melissa Barrera, David Arquette, and Jenna Ortega, as well as, of course, Courteney Cox!

This interaction with Selena came after the Friends star confirmed she would be back to reprise her role as reporter Gale Weathers in the movie that first launched her career, before the huge success she found on the sitcom.

Alongside a pic of the iconic Ghostface mask, Cox wrote: ‘I can’t wait to see this face again.’

Furthermore, Radio Silence, a production company involved with making this movie stated via Deadline that ‘We cannot imagine Scream without the Gale Weathers and are incredibly thrilled and humbled to have this opportunity to work with Courteney Cox. We’re absolute fans of her work and we are so excited to join her in the next chapter of the Scream saga!’

The question remains, although fans seem pretty sure – will Selena Gomez join the OG cast for a new era of Scream?
