Selena Gomez Says She Has A 'Clean Slate' Now That She's Single And No Longer 'In Love'

According to Selena Gomez, she is moving on from her past life in a big way, and it has surprisingly been a lot easier than she thought it would be. Selena did a new interview with The Newsette in which she reflected on her relationships as well as the next stage of her life.

Gomez shared with the outlet that nothing she has done recently could’ve happened with the mindset and way of thinking she had before. Published on the 17th of November, Selena explained in the interview that the “best stuff” in her life has been happening currently.

The pop-star shared that her best moment, musically, thus far, was the release of her song, “Lose You To Love Me,” which she described as having a great reception. Fans of the performing artist loved her new single, as did her friends. “That’s why it was worth it,” Gomez explained.

Gomez went on to say that she is now starting fresh with a “clean slate,” and she has been reminded of the importance of everything she went through. Back in April, Selena revealed she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

The star says she has been working on representing the real version of herself, so as to be as authentic as possible. Selena says that being the authentic, unashamed, version of herself has been “such a gift.”

According to Selena, even though she has made a lot of improvements lately, there are days when she isn’t as happy as she could be.

As it was previously reported, Selena and Justin Bieber dated intermittently from 2011 until 2018. She later went on to date The Weeknd in 2017, and when she dropped “Lose You To Love Me,” in October 2019, fans noticed how it probably was in relation to her relationship with Justin Bieber.

An insider who spoke with Us Weekly explained how even though the song was “co-written” by someone else, she played a big role in making it and it was obviously about Justin. Previously, the singer joked that all of her ex-boyfriends think she is “crazy.”
