Shannen Doherty Explains Why She Wishes To Stop Talking About Former BH90210 Co-Star Luke Perry's Passing

Shannen Doherty revealed that she really wishes to stop talking about the late Luke Perry. While the actress made it very clear that she is happy about being part of the BH90210 revival, because of personal reasons, she would really like not to have to talk about her former co-star on the original.

As you know, the beloved actor passed away back in March after suffering a massive stroke. He was only 52 years old.

Apparently, Shannen Doherty was not planning on joining the revival of BH90210 before his death but now, she is glad she did it.

Now, the actress tells HollywoodLife that she felt it was important to be part of the cast ‘Because it was a way for me to honor a very dear friend.’

But then why would she not want to talk about Perry’s passing?

The actress explained her sweet reason, saying that ‘I feel like the more that I talk about it, the less value it actually has and I love that person and I just – think I need to stop and just hold something for myself.’

When asked if she would have accepted the gig regardless of Luke’s death, Doherty did not hesitate to say: ‘No, I do not [think so] because I had already said no. I think – I am very grateful that I did it and I am really grateful these guys kept coming back and kept asking me [to join the revival’s cast] and I am very glad. I think the show works because it is almost all of us and it is that chemistry between each and every one of us that really makes the show what it actually is.’
