According to a report from Fox News, Sharon Osbourne claimed that the former judge on American Idol, Simon Cowell, had fired her from her job on The X-Factor United Kingdom because he believed she was simply too old for the position.
During an appearence on The Talk on Thursday, the 66-year-old entrepreneur and television host dished to her fellow hosts, Carrie Ann Inaba, Sara Gilbert, and Sherly Underwood, that Simon gave her the official termination papers on account of her age.
Producers of the television program, The Masked Singer, had approached her about being on the show, however, she declined because she thought she had the job on The X-Factor with Simon. It was a tough pill to swallow when Simon eventually told her she didn’t have the job.

Speaking with her co-hosts, Sharon said, “I was signed on to do another show at the time,” but Simon suddenly changed his mind because he believed she was “too old.”
The wife of Ozzy Osbourne claims Simon said she was “old,” and they needed “somebody young.” Referring to the creator, Sharon said Simon should’ve fired himself because he’s not a young person either. It was reported last year that Sharon was leaving The X Factor UK.
The outlet, Deadline, reported that she felt as though she wasn’t needed on set. It came shortly after her time on Howard Stern where the reality star supposedly said the contestants were “little s**ts” and the reality show was basically “karaoke.”
As it was previously reported, Osbourne appeared on The X-Factor in 2004 before she departed four years later in 2008. She came back on in 2013. Three years later, she signed a three-year deal with the program.
One insider said the real reason for Sharon being dropped on the show was her “attitude” and “tendency to really speak her mind.” It’s unclear if these claims are true, however. Recently, Sharon gave her honest and unfiltered opinion of Les Moonves, the former CEO of CBS. The star claimed Les had bad breath.
