As you may know, Simone Biles’ brother Tevin Biles-Thomas was arrested on triple homicide accusations and now the Olympian is addressing the shocking situation. Simone took to social media to share a very emotional statement in which she mentioned just how much her ‘heart aches’ for everybody involved.
At the same time, she begged fans to respect her family’s privacy during this dark time.
Previously, she had only sent out a few ambiguous tweets about her brother’s arrest but now, she opened up more about it.
‘My heart aches for everybody involved, especially for the three victims and their families. There’s nothing I can say that will heal anyone’s pain, but I want to express my sincere condolences to everybody affected by this horrible tragedy. I ask everybody to please respect my family’s privacy as we deal with our pain. XO. Still having a hard time processing last week’s news,’ she wrote on her page yesterday, September 2.
Tevin was taken into custody by Liberty County, Georgia on Thursday due to being suspected of having murdered three people, ages 19 to 23 – Delvante Johnson, Toshaun Banks, and DeVaughn Gibson.
The three were victims of a shooting at a bash in Cleveland last New Year’s Eve.
Simone’s brother was charged with felonious assault, perjury and voluntary manslaughter.
At this time, he is being held at Liberty County jail, with no bound.
He is reportedly scheduled to be arraigned on September 13.
As for Simone’s cryptic tweets before her statement on September 2, she wrote things like: ‘Let people assume incorrectly.’ / ‘Eating my feelings don’t talk to me.’
