There is trouble in paradise for Khloe Kardashian and her baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, according to a reliable source who spoke to PEOPLE Magazine.

The person claimed that Khloe has not been able to put the epic cheating scandal that rocked her world behind her.

The family friend explained that it has been weeks since Khloe spent time with the basketball star.

The pal said: “Khloé and True are happy in Los Angeles. They spend very little time in Cleveland, where Tristan is.”

The person added: “Khloé and True are happy in Los Angeles. They spend very little time in Cleveland, where Tristan is. She very much acts like a single mom.”

As Khloe tries to figure out the matter, she is focused on her 10-month-old daughter and is still making sure she bonds with her father despite the rocky romance.

The source stated: “Her whole life is True. Khloé is a great mom. It’s so obvious how much she loves being a mom. She likes that True is a bit older now — they attend classes with other babies True’s age and Khloé is making sure she has friends. She wants True to spend as much time with her dad as possible. She believes that True needs a mom and dad in her life.”

Another insider spoke to Hollywood Life and explained that Khloe is actually happy to be away from Tristan: “True being able to spend so much time with her cousins and family. It’s what’s best for them now, but she insists that it’s in no way a sign of trouble between her and Tristan though, she says they’re all good.”

The friend added: “Khloe is motivated to live her life on her own terms and she enjoys sharing her thoughts and ideas with the world. Posting quotes on Instagram is her own creative way to speak to Tristan [Thompson], her sisters, family and to let the whole world know how she feels at the same time.”

The source went on to say: “However, she is also sending a message to Tristan that she is an independent woman, OK doing her own thing. She is a strong and a loving, caring mom too. Khloe wants Tristan and the world to know how she feels about things and loves how immediate and intimate social media can be. She loves using it as a tool to express herself, feelings and emotions. Right now, she wants the world to know that everyone can stop worrying about her and her relationship with Tristan… they are doing just fine.”
