Sad news hits the world once again this year – it’s been just reported that Sir Sean Connery has died at the age of 90 years old. The news was released by his family, and reported by BBC and more important news websites.
As you probably know by now, the Scottish actor was known especially for his amazing portrayal of James Bond, and he was the very first to bring the role to the big screen and appeared in seven of the spy thrillers.
Sir Sean has reportedly died overnight in his sleep while he was in the Bahamas. It’s been also reported that he has not been feeling well for some time now.
BBC highlighted that ‘his acting career spanned decades and his many awards included an Oscar, two Bafta awards and three Golden Globes.’
It’s been also said that ‘Sir Sean’s other films included The Hunt for Red October, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and The Rock.’
‘My view is that to get anywhere in life you have to be anti-social,” he once said as quoted by BBC. ‘Otherwise, you’ll end up being devoured.’
People are sending kind thoughts and prayers to his family and all of his loved ones during these difficult times.
Last year, in September, Sean Connery was letting fans know he is just fine after riding out Hurricane Dorian at his Bahamas mansion.
Connery and his wife, painter Micheline Roquebrune, spoke with Scottish Daily Mirror after hunkering down for days to survive the disastrous hurricane.
‘We are both fine. We were lucky compared to many others, and the damage here was not great. We had been prepared for the storm. Everything was ready in advance. We weren’t taking any chances and knew what to do,’ Connery revealed back then.
May you rest in Peace, Sir Sean Connery! You will never be forgotten.
