Kanye West’s wife also made sure to express her deepest regrets. It’s best to check out her complete message below.
Kim began by saying that ‘Being an entrepreneur and my own boss has been one of the most rewarding challenges I’ve been blessed within my life. What’s made it possible for me after all of these years has been the direct line of communication with my fans and the public. I am always listening, learning and growing – I so appreciate the passion and varied perspectives that people bring to me.’
She continued her post and said: ‘When I announced the name of my shapewear line, I did so with the best intentions in mind. My brands and products are built with inclusivity and diversity at their core and after careful thought and consideration, I will be launching my Solutionwear brand under a new name. I will be in touch soon. Thank you for your understanding and support always.’
Opinions on the matter are varied as you will see for yourself.
Someone said, ‘I went through the comments and the only people commenting “everybody gets so offended nowadays it’s not a big deal” are all WHITE AF. I mean I’m Caucasian too but that doesn’t mean I can’t be educated 🤷🏽♀️ maybe if people educated themselves on other cultures they would understand why the name was extremely offensive. Seriously though the only people who don’t get the problem are the kind of people who name their kid “McKinley Rae”.’
One other commenter posted: ‘Thank you for your consideration. I’m surprised by the comments saying “people are over-sensitive” or “it’s just a name”, but I guess the problem was trademarking aspect. It is greedy trying to monopolize it, and it could be a real problem for someone who involves in the traditional kimono industry. Hope everyone learns a bit more about the world, not just watching celebrity TV shows ❤️’
Someone else believes that ‘Of course she used that Kimono name with a purpose. To get a rise out of everyone and make it more popular/trendy. It worked and now she’ll share the real name they planned to use all along🙌💯’
Do you think that Kim had this planned from the beginning?
