Sophie Turner is opening up about what life is like as the wife of a Jonas Brother. The Game of Thrones alum revealed in a new interview that she loves being married, and the relationship came with an added bonus of having “built-in girlfriends.”
The J Sisters is the affectionate name that fans have given Turner, Priyanka Chopra, and Danielle Jonas, the wives of Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas, respectively. Turner says that her sisters-in-law are “actually really cool,” and it’s nice to have girlfriends that understand what it’s like to be married to a Jonas Brother.

“It’s also nice to have built-in girlfriends who are actually really cool, who I can hang out with and we can really talk to each other about, like, how crazy the boys’ lives are,” Turner told Elle magazine for their April cover story. “We can relate on so many different levels. It’s like, thank God, because you never know [how your in-laws will be].”
The 24-year-old also called Chopra’s fame “kind of crazy” because she has to remind herself that the Quantico alum has had a 20-year career in Bollywood. Turner called Chopra “the biggest thing in India right now.” When she was in the country for Nick and Priyanka’s wedding in late 2018, Turner says that they were treated like royalty because Chopra is worshipped there.
Turner describes Chopra as “the nicest person,” and added that she and Nick live only ten minutes away from her and Joe. The actress added that even though Kevin and Danielle live in New Jersey, she still sees them all of the time because “the boys are best friends” and they are all one big family.

Sophie, Priyanka, and Danielle showed just how close the family is when they appeared in the music videos for the songs Sucker and What a Man Gotta Do.
Turner also admitted during the interview that she and her friends were not Jonas Brothers fans growing up. She explained that she and her friends were actually into a UK band called Busted, who had a song called Year 3000, which they loved.
However, when the Jonas Brothers covered the song and made it a massive hit, Busted broke up and Turner thought it was the Jonas Brothers’ fault.
“So we hated them,” revealed Turner.
Now that Game of Thrones has come to an end, Turner is moving on to the Quibi series Survive, which premieres on April 6th.
