A source who spoke with Page Six this week claimed that Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, have been to “h*ll and back” amid their college admissions scandal crisis and subsequent trial.

As most know, the Full House alum and her husband’s trial has been in the headlines for over a year now. Regardless of their purported guilt, there’s no doubt that the scandal has affected her and her family immensely, including their daughters, Bella, and Olivia.

Prosecutors revealed on Thursday that Lori and her husband, Mossimo, agreed to serve time behind bars and also plead guilty for their involvement in the College Varsity Blues scandal. A friend said to the outlet that the case has had a huge personal effect on Lori.

The source explained that Lori is the “sweetest person,” and this dilemma has irreversibly changed her life for the worse. The insider said Lori will undoubtedly pay for this mistake in perpetuity. Moreover, the source says it’s also impacted her marriage with Mossimo.

As it was previously reported, Lori and Mossimo wanted to fight the charges because they said they thought the money was a legitimate donation. In other words, they laid the responsibility solely on William “Rick” Singer.

However, the trial has costed them dearly, both financially, emotionally, and familially. The source says that Lori and her man have spent so much of their time and energy fighting this court battle, and now they’re pleading guilty anyway.

On account of the pandemic, the source remarked, Lori and Mossimo simply decided to serve the time and get the trial over and done with. In case you missed it, Lori and Mossimo were accused of paying half-a-million dollars to have their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California under false pretenses.

With all that said, Lori will only serve two months in prison, engage in 100 hours of community service, and also pay a $150,000 fine. Mossimo, on the other hand, will serve a five-month sentence and pay a $250,000 fine.
