Sources Reveal How Kate Middleton Takes Care Of Her Kids' Hair During Quarantine

Kate Middleton knows how to make the best of a difficult situation. Page Six reported that the 38-year-old Duchess of Cambridge has been cutting her children’s hair, George and Charlotte, who are 6 and 5 respectively. Clearly, the shutdown of barbershops and salons necessitated Kate to take matters into her own hands.

An insider who spoke with The Sun explained that Kate was “very competent” and the kids are used to getting haircuts at home. Apparently, the family has a history in this particular area. Carole Middleton reportedly showed Kate and Pippa how to cut children’s hair years ago.

In other words, they’ve known how to do it for years and it’s not a big deal. However, as most parents know, children at that age are not always easy to work with. The source claimed this isn’t the case with George and Charlotte.

It’s easy to cut George’s hair and Charlotte likes to tie her hair back so it’s in a mini-ponytail. On a regular day, the children often get their hair done by Richard Ward at the Kensington Palace, and it usually costs between 45 and 75 pounds per child.

Obviously, the coronavirus put a stop to barbers cutting clients’ hair, so Richard actually left Kate a professional kit so she could do it herself. This isn’t the only change in the royal family’s lifestyle over the last two months.

On the 23rd of May, Ashley Mitchell reported that even though the United Kingdom was slowly starting to reopen schools again, Kate and William are considering not even sending Charlotte back.

The Sunday Times reported in recent news that the family wants George and Charlotte to spend more time together at this point in time of their life.

A big part of the reason is the fact they’re both so used to their current routines during the coronavirus pandemic. In the past, Kate shared how their situation changed with the pandemic. Middleton said to reporters that it was a weird time for the world, but she and her family are doing “fine.”
