Hurricane Dorian is losing strength as it heads to the east coast of the U.S but unfortunately, the Bahamian islands got the brunt of the storm. Bravolebrity Craig Conover has announced that he is donating all the proceeds from his lobster pillow to the relief fund for the Bahamas.

Craig uploaded a photo of a pillowcase alongside a caption that read: ‘All proceeds from our Spiny Lobster pillow will be donated to relief and rescue operations in the Abacos this week. You can find the link in my bio.’

The pillow almost immediately sold out and has raised $5,000.

He thanked customers in his Instagram Stories.

‘I just wanted to thank everyone for their incredible generosity and having empathy and respect for Abacos and the rest of the Bahamas. We actually sold out of our spiny lobster pillow, I just had to restock them, so we’ve raised almost $5,000 today that’ll be donated directly to buying supplies to get to Abacos when people can actually get there.’

Conover found solace in the Bahamas after his breakup from Naomie Olindo. He opened up about it on the last season of Southern Charm.

Craig is still in contact with some of the people that he met there that is giving him direct updates about the devastation.

‘It’s so upsetting to see what is happening to a place that felt like a sanctuary to me. It’s one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever been. You can’t help but be drawn to the kindness of the people, and their spirit. And then the colors and the natural beauty of the island — it’s horrible to think about what they are going through. I wanted to try and organize something to help or lend support and thought why not donate all of the sales from a pillow that was completely inspired by my time there. Maybe I can bring a little of what I love about the island to people who may have never been there, and help create a sense of community for the people of Abacos here. So, from today and through the week, 100 percent of the sales from our Bahamian pillow will go directly to relief and rescue operations,’ he explained to Bravo Home and Design.
