During the new season of Southern Charm, star Kathryn Dennis has been talking about her baby daddy, Thomas Ravenel, and she just got into some serious trouble because of it. Dennis and Ravenel were in court on June 7th, and the judge in their custody case blasted Dennis for violating the gag order he issued a few weeks ago. He then granted Ravenel’s motion and reversed his decision to seal the case.

The judge couldn’t believe that after Dennis petitioned the court for a gag order because of what she claimed was a concern for her children’s privacy, she appeared on Southern Charm and talked about her ex and their custody case. The judge made it clear in his statement that he didn’t appreciate Dennis’ hypocrisy.

He said that despite her request for a gag order, Dennis “remains dedicated to discussing the custody case in the media; discussing the father of her children, and her very private life. Therefore, sealing the record serves no legitimate purpose, nor does it protect the children – who are routinely exposed to the public and media.”

“It is clear to the Court that contrary to her own Motion and her Counsel’s argument, Mother has no interest in protecting the privacy of her children, based upon her frequent communications with the entertainment media,” concluded the judge.

In addition to reversing his initial order to seal the case, the South Carolina judge also ordered Dennis to pay Ravenel $3,500 for legal fees.

According to The Blast, the judge also noted that both Dennis and Ravenel are at fault when it comes to exposing their kids – Kensie, 5, and Saint, 2 – to the media. He said they are both public figures, and because the public is already familiar with the exes and their kids, unsealing the case isn’t going to harm anyone.

Dennis filed for primary custody of the kids back in October and has accused Ravenel of drug use. She also claimed he hired a private investigator to follow her, which is a violation of the restraining order currently in place, and that he paid off a woman who accused him of sexual assault.

As part of the custody case, Ravenel has sued Bravo and Southern Charm producers to keep them from broadcasting unaired footage of Kensie and Saint, as well as footage of anyone talking about the case. He also claimed that Bravo encouraged Dennis to file for primary custody so it could be a dramatic storyline for the show.

Despite their nasty custody battle, Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel did come together for Kensie’s recent Kindergarten graduation, and they posed for pics together with both of their kids.
