Southern Charm Star Kathryn Dennis Caught Posting On Social Media While Driving Days After Terrifying Car Accident

Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis is facing a charge of “careless driving” after she caused a serious car accident earlier this month. She claims that her two children – Kensie, 5, and Saint, 3 – distracted her from the backseat, causing her to hit a guardrail and then slam into three trees and two light poles. But, she apparently didn’t learn anything from the incident, as just a few days later she posted a video on her Instagram Story of herself once again driving while distracted.

Dennis had just dropped her kids off for their first day of school when she decided to make a video, and it is clear that she is driving with one hand and holding her phone with the other. Dennis is constantly looking at the camera instead of the road, and it’s easy to tell that she’s driving because of the reflection in her huge sunglasses.

“Today is Kensie’s first day of Kindergarten. I’m shook,” says Dennis. “And, it’s also both Kensie and Saint’s first day at their new school. What is happening? Am I about to be in the parent drop-off line? Wow, that happened quick.”

As soon as Dennis posted the video on her Instagram Story she received backlash from fans. She then quickly deleted it, but not before someone captured the proof that Dennis was driving while distracted.

Dennis received a citation for “Careless Driving” after her dangerous wreck on August 5th. The town of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina is prosecuting the reality star, and she is scheduled to be in court on September 10th. Dennis was traveling north on Highway 17 when she hit the guardrail, trees, and light poles, and then the car came to rest in oncoming traffic on the southbound side of the highway.

Luckily, no one suffered any injuries.

Dennis is also involved in another legal battle as she fights her ex, Thomas Ravenel, for custody of their children. The case has turned nasty in recent weeks with Ravenel accusing Dennis of having a drug and alcohol problem. She also failed a court-ordered drug test back in June.

Both the custody case and Dennis’ traffic case is ongoing.
