Southern Charm Star Kathryn Dennis Using Thomas Ravenel's Sexual Assault Against Him In Nasty Custody Battle

Kathryn Dennis is not pulling any punches in her nasty custody battle with Thomas Ravenel. The Southern Charm star is looking to secure custody of her two children and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it done – even if that means using Ravenel’s sexual assault charges against him.

In recent court documents, Dennis directly references Ravenel’s sexual assault scandal and argues that his actions prove he is an unfit parent.

Despite being mentally evaluated and cleared in 2017, Dennis’ lawyers are looking to have Ravenel re-examined by medical professionals to determine if he can function as a parent.

“The Plaintiff is informed and believes that [the doctor] was not aware of the facts surrounding the allegations [of sexual assault against Ravenel],” the court docs read.

According to Perez Hilton, Dennis’ recent court filing shows that she is serious about taking over custody and becoming the primary caregiver. There is no telling how the court will evaluate Ravenel’s ability to parent, but the sexual assault charges will definitely make it hard for him to retain custody.

Ravenel is currently facing serious charges of sexual assault, stemming from an incident that happened back in the fall of 2015. The disgraced Southern Charm star is scheduled to appear in court in coming months where a jury will determine if he is guilty of said charges.

Needless to say, Ravenel is no longer a part of Southern Charm, though the custody drama might play out in Season 6 of Bravo’s hit show.

In addition to the assault charges, Dennis also claims that Ravenel has bouts of “impulsive anger,” which makes him a questionable father.

Dennis says that Ravenel has locked the kids in a closet after a fit of rage and has exhibited strange behavior at night. She believes Ravenel’s issues stem from substance abuse, including addictions to prescription drugs and alcohol.

Thomas Ravenel has not issued any statements related to his nasty custody battle with Kathryn Dennis.

The new season of Southern Charm is expected to premiere sometime in 2019.
