Summer Walker Slams Critics Of Social Anxiety And Insists She Did Not Hang Out With Drake While Her Performance Was Being Delayed

Summer Walker is fed up with the harsh criticism she has been receiving from both fans and the media. After her acceptance speech went viral and she was called out by fans who waited hours for her to perform, she took to Instagram to air her grievances.

She first told The Shade Room that she was late at her Toronto stop because her equipment wasn’t there. She went into more detail on Instagram Live.

Walker posted a photo right before she went on stage with super fan Drake which made people believe that she was hanging with the rapper instead of performing on time.

‘Toronto’s borders are out of this f****** world. They held my m************ truck up with all my equipment, my band equipment, that m************ thing in the back of me that be spinning. They held all that shit up at the border for mad long… So bitch how we gonna play a show with no drums, no f****** mics, and no m************* guitars. See it’s out of my m************ control!’

She also tackled those who poked at her personal hygiene after she made a statement saying that she didn’t like to shower.

‘What I said was ‘I don’t like to take showers.’ I still take them daily. I prefer baths but I take them daily. A lot of people say they don’t like to work out but they get fat a** to the gym and they still work out. A lot of people say they don’t like to eat healthy but they still eat their m*********** vegetables. I don’t like to take showers.’

Additionally, she addressed critics who mocked her social anxiety after a video of her acceptance speech at the Soul Train Awards went viral. Many people have questioned why would a person who suffers from that condition choose her career path while others claim that she is faking it.

The songstress stated: ‘I cannot even accept an award in peace. When you actually see me get my award and you see how I spoke on that stage. B****, look I sounded slow. I was scared. I was scared, okay? Everybody else gave a long a** speech. I didn’t because I have social anxiety. I was scared as f***. Then, everybody decided to say it was an act. ‘Oh, it’s an act. B****, you’re dragging it.’ I just want to let y’all know—not me b**** because I’m living a great life but this is how people commit suicide, okay? When people tell you what’s literally going on with them and then people still continue to bully them.’
