Rapper T.I. is tearing through Atlanta megachurch pastor Louie Giglio who shocked black and some white people by making a somewhat racist and mind-boggling comment about slavery.
Giglio, who is the head of the Passion City Church and has a net worth of about $5 Million, had a conversation with Lecrae and Chic-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy when he used the term “white blessing.”
The man of God said: “…honest conversation around how racism has plagued our city for generations. We understand the curse that was slavery, and white people do, and [we] say ‘that was bad.’ But we miss the blessing of slavery, that it actually built up the framework for the world that white people lived in and lived in.”
The video was viewed over 2 million times, and he was destroyed for his troubling and hurtful statement.
He tried to end the PR nightmare by apologizing: “Not seeking to refer to slavery as blessing-but that we are privileged because of the curse of slavery. In calling it a privilege/benefit/blessing— word choice wasn’t great. Trying to help us see society is built on the dehumanization of others. My apology, I failed.”
Pastor Louie Giglio, rapper Lecrae and Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy "had an honest conversation about race and the Church" on June 14.
Here's an example of why words and their meanings matter.

Tiny Harris’s husband slammed the pastor by saying that he would have punched him and added: “[Lecrae] exercised extreme caution, and I respect that, because I would’ve tested [his jaw probably. Nah, bruh. That’s what I keep trying to tell y’all. They can give a f*ck less about what we think or how we feel. They only care about how much we spend.”

One person said this: “White Americans should have supported Black Lives Matter when Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, & Aiyana Standley got killed. A lot of African-Americans would be alive now today!”
Another commenter stated: “I have been saying the exact same thing! These kids are not anti-fa or supremacist. They are white kids who are unemployed, have no malls to go to, bored, and simply following a social media trend. That’s all it is, and they are also out there because they hate Trump so much and want to see him out of office. If Biden or Obama were presidents, you would barely see any white protestors, I promise you! They are mixing in their hidden agenda with BLM.”
This Instagrammer shared: “Those older whites protesting, are using this to push the narrative that Trump is racist; they will do whatever it takes to get him out of office. If hanging black would get him out of office, they will do it. The sad thing is blacks really think that white folks care all of a sudden, and fall for it! Like Stockholm syndrome. They don’t realize their only goal is to get Trump out and Biden in.”
This backer wrote: “If not Biden, then who.? You only have two choices. If you guys don’t vote for Biden the we will have Trump for another 4-years it’s that simple. Why don’t people understand that? This kind of thinking/talk; Black folks are going to be the reason Trump wins again, watch.”
Some say that white people are advised to take part in conversations about racism and police brutality, but they are asked to listen, learn, and have empathy for black people in these troubling times.
