Another follower believes that ‘the media really painted this lady to be an angel smh and y’all eating it right up.’

Someone else said: ‘I’m confused didn’t she kill a dude while trying to rob him while turning a trick? Let me know if I’m missing the story. Or we just saying it because she black?’

One other follower posted: ‘Queen??? I understand she was forced into prostitution and had a horrible and traumatic life. But that doesn’t excuse what she did. This lady killed a man while he was sleep and then robbed him. And took his stuff back to her pimp.’

A person wrote this message: ‘I’m just so confused about #blackamerica. First we say they lock up a lot of our people and don’t give them a second chance. Or the system is rigged against us. Then when they do give one of us a chance we can’t simply celebrate it. We have to blame it on her skin or the texture of her hair or assume she may be crazy now and will commit another crime w/o even knowing this woman’s character.’

The same person continued and said: ‘We all hate to be judged by “the white man” but it is happening here amongst our own people on a celebratory post. Makes zero sense. Can’t expect change if we aren’t setting the example of the respect we expect to be given.’

Cyntoia was jailed for 15 years in order to serve her sentence. But it seems that good news keeps pouring for this lady.
