Tamar Braxton Tells Fans Everyone Grieves In Their Own Way After Getting Slammed For Not Posting A Tribute To Her Niece Following Her Passing

As you all know, the Braxton family has been recently hit by a tragedy. Lauren Braxton, niece of Tamar and Toni Braxton, had passed away, and the horrible news took a lot of people by surprise.

Lots of people have come forward to express their condolences to the family and share their words of support, but some have been distancing themselves from the situation, or at least that’s how it looked judging from outside.

Tamar Braxton, for instance, did not attend the funeral of her niece, claiming that the situation has been too heavy on her and she is exhausted from it all.

As expected, she received a lot of shade for this decision and she posted something that should serve as an explanation on her social media account.

Someone commented ‘and yet ur the only one that didn’t write a tribute to your niece… smh it doesn’t look good.’

Another follower said ‘You are wrong for@not supporting your brother! Put the shoe on the other foot. So self-centered. $$ you are going to lose your soul and family for $$ and fame. Shame on you Tamar. Unfollowing.’

Someone else told Tamar ‘If you are so drained performing should be last in your mind. I will NEVER respect or support you if feel money & ppl watching you is more important than being with family that needs your presence. She doesn’t have to post her niece that’s HER prerogative. But Tamar doesn’t feel anything. It’s all about HER. I just watched her live.’

An Instagrammer also criticized Tamar and said ‘How do you think your brother feels hearing you say no one tells you about a damn funeral and I don’t have time for a funeral, I’m still drained. But not too exhausted and drained to perform the dungeon show. Why say all that on social media in a video? You can grieve however you want but that video was selfish and insensitive.’

There were also people who defended Tamar and someone said: ‘I will never understand why people are so invested in others life!!!! Tamar was booked for a tour before the passing of her niece. So because she’s at her show she doesn’t care? People are weird! Let the girl take care of her son! Yes, she’s hurting but she still has a job to do and a son to live for! People hate this woman so much for what??? I can’t deal.’
