Tamar Braxton’s BF, David Adefeso shared a motivational video on his social media account. He’s remembering his ancestors, who fought for a better life. Check out his post below.
‘During Fathers’ Day yesterday, I remembered our great forefathers who sacrificed so much so we may be here today. From Frederick Douglas and Julius Nyerere to the Rev Martin Luther King Jr and Nelson Mandela these heroes fought for the upliftment of black people in Africa and America. Through the persecutions of slavery, colonization, ethnic cleansing and institutionalized racism our indomitable will endured. We achieved much but to reach our destination we must unite together as one,’ David began his post.
He continued and said: ‘Recently, my @tamarbraxton and I felt great pride in joining the ongoing uprising demanding justice and equal rights for black lives! We didn’t identify ourselves by the part of the world we were from, our different cultures or native tongue. No! Instead, along with millions of other black people we stood firm for our martyr #georgefloyd in demanding justice. The global impact has been unprecedented- from the calm lakes of Minneapolis to the bustling city streets of Lagos we are demanding justice.’
