Tamra Judge Updates Fans About Her Relationship With Daughter Sidney Amid Ex-Husband Simon Barney's Cancer Battle

Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge has been estranged from her daughter Sidney Barney for years. But recently, the CUT Fitness owner revealed that they have reconciled after finding out about her ex-husband Simon Barney’s stage 3 throat cancer diagnosis.

Judge posted a pic on Instagram that featured her sitting beside her youngest daughter, Sophia. This led to one fan asking the 52-year-old about where things stood between her and Sidney. Surprisingly, Judge responded with a brief update about their relationship since Simon’s diagnosis.

“We have all reunited,” Judge wrote in response, along with a red heart emoji.

According to The Daily Dish, Tamra divorced Simon in 2011, and Sidney opted to live with Simon while their son Spencer chose to live with Tamra and her husband Eddie Judge, whom she married in 2013. At the same time, Sophia chose to split her time between Tamra and Simon’s homes.

Tamra and Sidney have had a tumultuous relationship ever since the divorce, and in recent years they haven’t spoken much at all. One of Sidney’s biggest complaints about Tamra is that she lives her life in front of cameras and doesn’t keep many things private.

Sidney didn’t appreciate her mom posting pictures of her on social media and talking about her on RHOC, and this was a big factor in their estrangement. Sidney accused her mom of being “embarrassing” and “mentally/verbally abusive” in a 2015 Facebook post after Judge talked about her divorce and custody battle during an RHOC reunion special.

But now, priorities have shifted, and Judge says the family has come together to support Simon.

“The kids were split after the divorce and chose sides but, at the end of the day, none of that matters,” Judge told People magazine last month. “All we have to do is rally together to make it through this.”

Judge also revealed that Simon’s cancer battle contributed to her departure from RHOC earlier this year. She says it has made her “reevaluate her life,” and ultimately she just wanted to be with her family because nothing else matters.

New episodes of Real Housewives of Orange County – sans Tamra Judge – will return to Bravo later this year.
