Taylor Swift Documentary To Come To Sundance Film Festival In 2020 Before Netflix Release

Taylor Swift’s documentary is coming to Sundance Film Festival and Netflix in 2020. The film, titled Miss Americana, allegedly has full clearance from Big Machine Label Group.

The doc will follow the pop star behind-the-scenes of her public image and appearances and dive deep into her personal journey starting from when she wrote songs in her room as a teenager that eventually became number one hits.

A press release described it as ‘a raw and emotionally revealing look at one of the most iconic artists of our time during a transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice.’

The piece will open the iconic annual festival before being released on the streaming service in early 2020.

This news comes after her public plea to fans where she claimed Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta would not clear her to sing her own songs at the American Music Awards nor use any of her old music for her upcoming Netflix special.

Scott and Scooter have declined the use of my older music or performance footage for this project, even though there is no mention of either of them or Big Machine Records anywhere in the film.’

Big Machine responded by saying that Taylor was free to sing her old songs while Scooter made a plea to Swift to meet in private after his family received death threats.
