Taylor Swift finally broke her silence on writing a hit song for other artists under a pseudonym! More precisely, as it turns out, the singer is the one behind Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s collab song ‘This Is What You Came For!’

Of course, fans have actually known this for many years but this is the first time that Rihanna is confirming it!

The fake name she used is Nils Sjöberg, and she also revealed why she decided to go for a pseudonym during a new interview with Beatles legend Paul McCartney for the Rolling Stone!

‘I think that when a pseudonym comes in, you still have love for making the work, and you do not want the work to become overshadowed by this thing that has been built around you, based on what people may know about you. And that is when it is really fun to create fake names and write under them.’

McCartney went on to ask Taylor if she’d ever used one herself and if yes, if it was a well known thing.

Swift responded that: ‘Oh, yeah. I think it is now, but it was not. I wrote under the name Nils Sjöberg because those are 2 of the most popular names of Swedish men. I wrote this song called ‘This Is What You Came For’ Rihanna ended up singing. And nobody knew for a while. I remembered always hearing that when Prince wrote ‘Manic Monday,’ they did not reveal it for a couple of months.’

During the interview, Taylor did not just talk about her music but also about her personal life as well, including her relationship with Joe Alwyn!

The pop star gushed over him and how he totally understands her fame-related anxieties, such as not being able to control if the paparazzi decide to stalk her and wait outside her house, taking away her privacy.
