Taylor Swift Says She Loves New Selena Gomez Song

According to a report from E! Online, Taylor Swift recently came out to support her friend, Selena Gomez. This past Tuesday, Selena dropped her very first single in a little over a year and Taylor appeared thrilled about it on social media.

On her IG account, Taylor congratulated her close friend on the release of “Lose You To Love Me.” Swift stated on her IG Story that the track was the perfect embodiment of the healing process and was her favorite song yet.

Swift wasn’t the only friend of hers to support the single either, as Niall Horan from One Direction and Kasey Musgraves also came out to support the song. Furthermore, fans of Selena’s are having a ball with the track for its supposed allusion to her romance with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

According to E! Online, Swift’s remarks regarding the way in which the song conveys the journey of healing from past trauma was right on the money. The song purportedly calls out Justin Bieber for “lowering her self-esteem” when they got back together back in 2018.

After moving on from Selena, Justin married Hailey Baldwin, now Hailey Bieber. The 27-year-old also purportedly made reference to Justin’s successful record, Purpose. The star says in her song that he “set fire to my purpose,” possibly in relation to the name of the album.

As fans of the former couple know, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were intermittently linked since they were both teenagers. However, after a long-term on-and-off romance, they finally called it off for good and Justin moved on to the model, Hailey Baldwin.

Before briefly reuniting in 2018, however, Selena was also in a relationship with Abel Tesfaye, also known as his artist name, The Weeknd. While it’s hard to tell exactly what the relationship is between Justin and Selena at this point, many fans believe she was still hurting after their breakup.

In fact, one month after Justin and Hailey reportedly got their marriage license in private, Selena entered a mental health center to get better. The reasoning for her entrance into the program was never officially revealed.
