Not only that but the process of making new songs in the studio might even be shorter than usual since the 23-year-old has used the time in prison in his favor, writing plenty of tracks during his time.

That way, as soon as he gets released in about 4 months, he can get right to dropping new albums!

The rapper’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro made it very clear that his prison time has not squashed his creativity – quite the opposite, as it seems!

The lawyer dished via the news outlet that while serving his 24-month sentence, he’s made music his number one priority.

Therefore, fans can look forward to new songs being released quite soon following his release on July 31.

Lazzaro shared that ‘He has been writing music there. I don’t know the details but I know he has been writing. He’s going to go right back to making music [when he gets out]. He hasn’t decided where he will live at this stage but he’s going to make albums again.’

He also mentioned that Tekashi, who has been behind bars since November of 2018, has remained in high spirits, not letting prison get him down and now that his release is so close, he is definitely looking forward to being a free man again.

‘He’s in good spirits, he’ll be home in 4 months, so he’s in good spirits,’ the lawyer mentioned.

As for his safety in prison, he explained that because of the type of case he was involved in, he’s been really careful to remain safe until he can come back home.
