Tekashi 6ix9ine Says Meek Mill's Lawyers Hit Him Up With A Cease And Desist Order

Tekashi 6ix9ine is making his way back into the news once again, although, to be completely fair, 6ix9ine hardly ever left it. In recent months, Mr. 6ix9ine appeared to temporarily subside, however, there was an occasional news story about him.

Things began to ramp up when he released this new track, “ZAZA,” which came right around the same time as his confrontation with Meek Mill outside of a nightclub earlier this month. The near altercation was avoided due to both parties’ security teams.

Now, Tekashi is back in the headlines in full force again, except this time, he has a bombshell claim about Meek Mill. Regarding the rapper’s latest track, “ZAZA,” the music video reportedly featured the clip from his confrontation with Meek Mill, which obviously was somewhat of a thorn in Meek Mill’s side, in addition to Vanessa Bryant’s claim that he was being disrespectful to Kobe’s legend with one of his bars.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, Meek Mill is trying to get the artist to eliminate the video because they’re using his likeness for profit and personal gain. Hernandez went on to say that the Philly rapper wanted to have the video removed just because people were laughing at him.

Apparently, Meek and his attornies did manage to get Tekashi and his team to take the video down, and it has since been unlisted from YouTube. However, it managed to get 29,000,000 views during its time on YouTube.

While one can talk about the nature of Tekashi 6ix9ine, it’s certain that he knows how to get eyeballs to his music, however, it’s hard to say if this is translating to real fans. Last year, it was reported that Tekashi was having a hard time moving units of his last record, Tattle Tales, which performed about 1/3 of what it was supposed to, moving 52,000 units in its first week.
