Teresa Giudice & Family Say Goodbye To Her Dad, Giacinto Gorga, At Emotional Funeral Service

Just four days after his death, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her family said goodbye to her late father, Giacinto Gorga, in an emotional and intimate funeral service. On Tuesday, the 47-year-old shared a video clip from the memorial on her Instagram page.

In the video, Giudice’s daughters and her brother Joe Gorga’s children were all dressed in black as they released doves into the air. In the background, a somber Italian song played as Giudice said “beautiful” when the doves flew away.

“Today we set you free,” wrote Giudice in the caption of her post. “Fly high to mommy😇❤️🕊🙏🏻.”

Giudice’s sister-in-law and RHONJ co-star Melissa Gorga also posted the video clip on Instagram, and in her caption she wrote: “The beautiful Grandchildren watching the doves fly into the heavens in honor of their Nonno.”

Giudice issued a statement about her father’s passing on April 3rd after he died at the age of 76. The mom-of-four posted a video montage that featured numerous pictures of her dad over the years, and in her statement she called him “my father, my protector, my hero.”

“God took you early this morning to be with mommy, I saw you peacefully pass & I know you kept fighting for my daughters and I,” wrote Giudice. “I have so many amazing thoughts of you, every day seeing you in the kitchen at my home, teaching my girls to cook, my partner in crime on shopping trips, your love of the shore & my travel buddy.”

Giudice wrote that her dad always wanted everyone to have a good time, eat great food, and have a stiff drink while enjoying life. She said that her father was the “absolute strongest man” she knows, and she knows that he missed her mom but stayed for the rest of the family.

Teresa Giudice thanked her father for being the best husband, father, and “Nonno,” and she stated that his devotion to her mother was “one for the record books.” She added that Giacinto Gorga was a true example to others, and her silver lining through all of this is that her dad and mom are together now.

“💕Thank you for showing us all what true love is. Love you Papa Rest In Peace. 🙏🏻❤️😭 4-3-20,” wrote Giudice.

Teresa’s estranged husband Joe Giudice also posted a message about Gorga’s passing and thanked him for “setting an example for us and my girls.”
