Teresa Giudice’s Daughter Gia Graduates High School As Family Awaits Joe’s Fate

Teresa Giudice’s oldest daughter Gia graduated high school this week. Although it was a happy occasion, Joe’s absence was felt by the entire family but most importantly Gia who continues to fight for her father.

The 18-year-old used social media to express how excited she is to be closing the high school chapter in her life and moving on to college. Gia will attend Rutgers University in the fall. However, her happiness was also filled will a deep sadness as she had to celebrate this major life milestone without her dad.

Priscilla DiStasio, the Giudice family makeup artist, shared with Hollywood Life that Gia has been overcome with emotion as she celebrates life events like prom and graduation without Joe. Thankfully, Teresa has been working overtime to keep it together for Gia and ensure these important milestones are filled with happiness.

“Gia was anxious and excited to graduate hand like any teen, she was happy to be done with high school! She was emotional for both per prom and graduation, as most teens are and obviously wishing her dad was by her side to share these moments with her. Once again, this is a home of some strong Italians, and Teresa definitely holds down the fort to make sure her girls are happy,” DiStasio shared with the website.

Teresa knows all too well this could be the first of many life events Joe is MIA for during their daughters’ lives. In a recently surfaced video clip, the reality TV star talks about how if Joe is deported, he will be absent from all future events in their daughters’ lives. It is one of her biggest fears, especially since all four of her daughters adore their daddy.

Although there were plenty of family members at the ceremony to watch Gia Giudice accept her diploma, her father Joe’s absence was felt by the young woman. Teresa documented the entire night, even telling her followers they could watch with her on social media.

Hopefully, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star will be able to share some of the footage with her husband. It definitely won’t be the same as if Joe was in attendance, but it is better than nothing.

There is no word on when Joe’s case will be decided. The family continues to move on with life as his impending fate looms.
