The Bachelor alum Chris Soules has been sentenced for his involvement in a fatal crash over two years ago.
On April 25, 2017, Soules was arrested in the early morning hours following a deadly car crash in his home state of Iowa. The reality TV star was charged with leaving the scene of the fatal car accident that resulted in the death of 66-year-old war veteran Kenneth Mosher.
Soules reportedly crashed his car into a tractor, running it off the road and into a ditch. Later his car was found at a home Soules was present at when the cops arrived. The police report claims the former The Bachelor refused to leave until a search warrant was presented.
Last November he entered a conditional guilty plea to “Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Serious Injury”, an aggravated misdemeanor. If the court had not agreed to his lawyers’ terms in the plea deal, he would have been allowed to withdraw his guilty plea.
“By way of factual basis, I hereby state that on or about April 24, 2017, in Buchanan County, Iowa, I was driving a vehicle that was involved in an accident resulting in serious injury to another person. I knew the accident occurred and knew it resulted in an injury to another person. Though I immediately stopped, called 911 and identified myself, and rendered reasonable aid to the injured person, including requesting an ambulance and administering CPR while the ambulance was en route, I acknowledge I did not provide the registration number of the vehicle I was driving to 911 dispatch or law enforcement,” read his plea statement.

On Friday, the 37-year-old was sentenced per the agreement. Soules was granted a suspended two-year prison sentence to serve out as two years on probation. He also must pay a minimum $625 fine, a 35 percent surcharge, and any applicable court costs. The reality TV star also waived his right to be there during sentencing.
The Bachelor alum Chris Soules has finally been sentenced in the case against him involving a car crash that resulted in one person’s death. As everyone knows he competed on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette in 2014.
Fans fell in love with the country boy, and he was chosen to be the next Bachelor. Soules chose Whitney Bischoff on his season proposing in the finale. The duo broke off their engagement after six months.
