Saad Hariri, former Prime Minister of Lebanon, seems to be quite heavily into a model who is reportedly his mistress.

Many political experts have compared Hariri’s situation with President Donald Trump’s paying large sums of money to his former mistress, porn star Stormy Daniels.

The politician has reportedly transferred around $16 million to Candice van der Merwe, and most of the money came in a single bank transaction, too, according to reports.

It is interesting to note that Hariri is married and even has three children, but the woman seems to have worked her magic on him quite effectively, as it did not take long for him to fall head over heels for his mistress.

Reports indicate that the transfer occurred several months ago. During a tax investigation, the politician claimed that he admired the woman’s personality and her healthy approach to her lifestyle, although many have questioned his true motives in the case.

The model herself does not seem to mind the situation, although she had to give some tricky explanations to authorities regarding the origin of the money.

The situation around Hariri himself has been questionable at best, with many pointing out that he is acting quite inappropriately for someone in his position. Although the politician does not seem to mind at all.

If anything, he has been putting even more effort into pampering his mistress and has been going very far with his relationship with her.

It is not known how this might affect his private life, although it is possible that the public is not going to hear much about that in the first place, given the sensitive nature of the situation.

As for his political life — that is over, Hariri has resigned following several weeks of protests.

He said in a speech before stepping down: “The decisions that we made today might not fulfill your goals, but for sure, it achieves what I have been seeking for two years. These decisions are not for exchange. I am not going to ask you to stop protesting and stop expressing your anger. This is a decision that you take. I have hit a dead-end, and I need to create a big shock to move the situation.”

He added: “Frankly speaking, your protest is what made us take these decisions that you witnessed today. What you did has broken all barriers and shook all political parties.”

His scandalous affair with the stunning model probably did not help his case.
