The Young & The Restless star Bryton James is sharing the lessons he learned from the late Kristoff St. John.
Six months after the talented St. John suddenly passed away, James is singing the actors praises. Life has not been the same for the young man since his onscreen dad suddenly passed away last February.
The CBS daytime soap opera did a fantastic job paying tribute to St. John, as well as the beloved character, Neil Winters.
“The show did an amazing job putting it together. And once the story was in place, it was up to all of us, not just me, to feel our real feelings for what had happened to our friend. I spoke from my own heart when I was given the words to say about Neil. We all wanted to experience the grief and then move past it in a healthy way together,” James shared with Soaps In Depth regarding how he felt Y&R did with the tribute episodes.
The 33-year-old will forever cherish his time with the great Kristoff St. John. There are so many things James learned from him. 15-years ago when James joined the daytime soap opera, he had no idea the impact St. John would have on his life.
Today James is revealing the lessons he learned in his personal and professional life, thanks to his friend.
“With Kristoff, I witnessed somebody go through unimaginable circumstances and still choose to bring so much joy and happiness every day. I learned how to conduct yourself, be a professional person, and a great human being. It’s a life lesson that I will never forget!” James admitted.
The shocking and sudden death of actor Kristoff St. John rocked The Young & The Restless family to its core last winter. Those who knew the beloved man, whose life was cut way too short, have been relishing in the life lessons St. John taught them.
Y&R hunk Bryton James played the onscreen son of St. John for years. Not only were they thick as thieves, James considered him a real-life father figure. As he continues to grieve St. John and learn to live in a world without him, James is cherishing the lessons he learned from the actor.
The legacy of St. John lives on through his Y&R family, as they continue to honor the actor and the character of Neil Winters.
