There Are Reasons Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Have Not Gotten Married Yet

Fans of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been eagerly awaiting an engagement announcement ever since the couple started dating in late 2015. But, they are going to have to be patient a little longer because the singers still have some issues to deal with.

According to Us Weekly, an insider says that Stefani and Shelton “are on the path to getting married, but there are obstacles they have to deal with.”

Stefani and Shelton met on the set of The Voice not long after they each went through a divorce. During the summer of 2015, Stefani and Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale split after 13 years of marriage, and at the same time, Shelton ended his four-year marriage to Miranda Lambert.

The couple decided to take things slow for the sake of her three children – Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 4 – because they had just witnessed their parents go through a messy breakup.

And now, more than three years later, Shelton and Stefani’s living arrangement is presenting some problems.

Stefani and her boys live in Los Angeles, but Shelton splits his time between LA and his Oklahoma ranch.  An insider says that the couple is facing their relationship hurdles by leaning on their faith, and they reportedly met with her priest last weekend for counseling.

“Blake has always wanted to marry Gwen, but she’s always been extremely cautious because she has three kids to be mindful of,” says an insider.

Just because they have obstacles, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t happy together. Recently, Shelton joined Stefani and her boys for dinner at her dad’s home in Los Angeles.

Shelton rocked his classic casual look – that looks a lot like dad clothes – with a tucked in black shirt, jeans, and sneakers. He also wore a brown hooded jacket and a blue and white baseball cap.

Cameras caught the I Lived It singer as he left Stefani’s dad’s home and poked fun at 12-year-old Kingston for wearing furry slippers.

Stefani looked stylish wearing an Ellie Mae copper and black Addison Coat over a white Moschino wool sweater. She finished off the look with jeans and tan ankle boots, and she had her signature platinum blonde hair tied up in a high bun.

The Hollaback Girl is currently on a break from her Las Vegas residency at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood. She wrapped up the first leg on New Year’s Eve, and she is scheduled to return on February 27th.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have not commented on the latest round of rumors regarding their relationship.
