While her father, the current POTUS has been getting criticized for his response to the senseless killing of George Floyd while in police custody, Tiffany Trump took to social media to show support to the Black Lives Matter movement by participating in the Blackout Tuesday project.
However, that got her in a bit of hot water on both sides of the political spectrum!
The 26 year old daughter uploaded a black square to her IG account and in the caption, she included a Helen Keller quote that reads: ‘Alone we can achieve so little; together we can achieve so much.’ #justiceforgeorgefloyd and #blackoutTuesday.’

Before she knew it, people flooded her comment section, the Trump supporters dragging her for showing support to the movement while the left slammed her for not doing enough to persuade her father in the right direction, some also accusing her of only pretending to care.
Here are a couple of the reactions to her post: ‘Hey Tiffany, have you tried to talk to your father about all the racist and dangerous words he has been using throughout his presidency? That seems like a decent place to start.’ / ‘Ha! This is just rich. Did you not see what your father did to protesters in DC last night so he could pose with the holy book he’s clearly never opened?’
The latter was, of course, talking about the violent measures taken by the police officers National Guard units who used tear gas and flash-bang grenades on the peaceful protesters just so that they could clear the path for the president to pose with a bible in his hand right outside of St. John’s church for some reason.
On the ‘right’ side of things, the ‘all lives matter’ arguments started pouring in, many of these commenters threatening to unfollow her for ‘drinking the Koolaid’ or being part of the ‘sheeple.’
Finally, some users were on her side and appreciated that at least one Trump is showing compassion and being a human being: ‘You have a big heart.’ / ‘Thank you for saying that. I respect that you had the courage to post it.’ / ‘Wow, it looks like there might just be one Trump that gives a crap about mankind?’
