After the massive success of the Netflix docu-series Tiger King, star Jeff Lowe and his wife, Lauren Lowe, have revealed that they “are now signed for a reality TV show.” Lowe says that the new series is for fans who want to know more about the relationship between him and Joe Maldonado-Passage (AKA Joe Exotic).
“It’ll be our narrative on the Tiger King with evidence to support our sides of the stories. And it will be about the transfer of all these beautiful animals from Joe’s facility to the new facility,” Jeff told People magazine, “And then the day-to-day struggle of running something as big as a 60-acre animal park and all the intricacies of the employment of zookeepers and fighting all of the animal rights groups.”

Jeff and Lauren will soon be opening their new zoo – Tiger King Park – in Thackerville, Oklahoma, and he says that the goal of their new show is to prove to everyone that running an exotic animal zoo “can be done right.”
He says that they have “an immaculate reputation with the USDA,” which is the agency that regulates all of the zoos in the world. Jeff also claims to have a great relationship with Fish and Game in the state of Oklahoma, and all of the game wardens “really like us.”
Jeff thinks the show will be “interesting,” and Lauren adds that they want to shine a brighter light on things and show the animals going from small enclosures to big ones. Lauren thinks that everyone wants to put a horrible light on roadside zoos, but “every zoo is off of a road.”
Jeff wouldn’t reveal the title of the show, when it would premiere, or what network or streaming service it would be on. He explained that “they haven’t even given us an exact date of production,” but they are currently in pre-production. Jeff explained that they are working with The Content Group in California, and they are currently filming B-roll.

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeff says that it has been hard to put crews together, put them in hotels, and get them out to the zoo. He believes it will be a few more weeks before they “start all of the big camera filming.”
Jeff and Lauren Lowe’s new reality show comes after a judge ruled that Carole Baskin and her Big Cat Rescue corporation would gain control of The G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Park, which was formerly owned by Joe Exotic.
The Lowes’ have 120 days to vacate the premises, after the court found that Joe Exotic had fraudulently transferred the property to his mother to avoid creditors.
