Tomi Lahren May Be Too Liberal For Fox News — She Just Broke Twitter With An Abortion Statement

Tomi Lahren may be too liberal for Fox News and she was certain her comments would upset conservatives, but she didn’t care. New abortion legislation has caused alarm in people across the nation and now Tomi Lahren is the latest voice to speak out against the new heartbeat bills that are being signed. This isn’t the first time Tomi Lahren spoke out about the controversial subject. Lahren lost her position at Glenn Beck’s The Blaze due to comments she made on ABC’s The View in support of women having legal, safe access to abortion.
On Thursday, May 16, 2019, Tomi Lahren wrote the following on Twitter. Her tweet went viral and people across the nation weighed in.
“I will be attacked by fellow conservatives for saying this but so be it, this Alabama abortion ban is too restrictive. It doesn’t save life, it simply forces women into more dangerous methods, other states or countries. You don’t encourage life via blanket government mandate!”
When Tomi was on The View she emphatically stated that she was pro-choice.
“I’m pro-choice and here’s why. I’m … someone that loves the Constitution, I’m someone that’s for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say ‘I’m for limited government, but I think that the government should decide what women do with their bodies.”
As for calling the Alabama abortion ban too restrictive, she was correct that many Conservatives wouldn’t agree with her. Reactions and responses to her tweet ran the gamut from those who are concerned about the new legislation and compared it to the Handmaid’s Tale to those who support it and praise it.
