Yesterday, it was reported that Ms. Toya Wright, the ex-wife of Lil’ Wayne, married the NBA agent Robert “Red” Rushing, but those rumors turned out to be a misunderstanding of a joke.

In a clip of TI And Tiny’s: Friends And Family Hustle, released on the 17th of December, Toya joked to Tiny that she and her man had decided to get married privately.

For the last few months, fans have wondered if she and Red really did tie the knot, probably out of hope more than anything else. In the episode, Tiny confronted Toya about it, and she told her that yes, in fact, she did get married to Red, but it turned out to be a joke.

Earlier this year, rumor had it that she and Red Rushing snuck off to Greece and tied the knot while on vacation. Some of her fans yelled at her, “Toya’s getting married!”

Unfortunately, these reports all turned out to be untrue, and Toya and Red have not settled down. Although, sources close to the reality star say it’s not entirely out of the question. Mr. Rushing might put a ring on her finger sometime in the future.

While they’re not actually hitched, Red and Toya do have one child together, Reign Ryan Rushing, whom she gave birth to earlier this year. If Red and Toya did get married, technically, he would be her second after Mr. Wayne, the notorious rapper.

As fans of the reality star know, from 2004 until 2006, Wright and Lil’ Wayne were married, first getting together as young adolescents in New Orleans, Louisiana. After the stress of his touring schedule broke them up, she entered a relationship with Mickey “Memphitz” Wright from 2011 until 2016.

Despite her success on TV, Toya was most known, from the beginning, as the wife of Lil’ Wayne, whom she had one child with, Reginae Carter. In addition to her supporting roles, Toya appeared in Toya: A Family Affair in addition to Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta.
