Tucker Carlson Sparks Controversy With Past Comments About Women, Cult Leader Warren Jeffs And Underage Girls, Listen To Audio

The backlash against Tucker Carlson is growing and has no hint of slowing down any time soon. The Fox commentator is under fire for past audio clips that have surfaced where Carlson makes a number of comments that are drawing ire across the nation. The comments put women down, are being decried as misogynistic and in one broadcast where he discussed cult leader Warren Jeffs, he made statements that have left people reeling as he didn’t condemn Jeffs for arranging underage marriages or sexually assaulting the two underage wives the polygamist married. Warren Jeffs is now a convicted sexual predator behind bars on two counts of child sexual abuse.

The reaction to Tucker Carlson’s comments is fierce.

Media Matters, an advocacy group, discovered the audio clips that include an interview with Tampa shock-jock host Todd Clem also known as Bubba the Love Sponge and are believed to be from 2006 and 2007.

Tucker Carlson responded to the now-viral audio on Twitter. Here is what he said.

“Media Matters caught me saying something naughty on a radio show more than a decade ago. Rather than express the usual ritual contrition, how about this: I’m on television every weeknight live for an hour. If you want to know what I think, you can watch. Anyone who disagrees with my views is welcome to come on and explain why.”

Some of the most troubling comments for Tucker Carlson include the following.

“I feel sorry for unattractive women. I mean, it’s nothing they did. You know?”

“I love women, but they’re extremely primitive, they’re basic, they’re not that hard to understand.”

“You know what? In my opinion, you know what gest women going is arguing with them.”

Tucker Carlson also made a reference to wanting to have intimate relations with Sarah Palin and referred to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton as the “biggest white whores in America.”

As it stands now, Tucker Carlson has the full support of Fox news and it doesn’t appear his show is in jeopardy. It’s unknown if this will change should the backlash against Carlson continue to increase.
