Tyra Banks Is New Ambassador For Nine West As She Continues To Move Ahead With Modelland Theme Park

Tyra Banks is the new Nine West global ambassador, the supermodel announced on her official Instagram account. The actress, entrepreneur, and author granted an interview with WWD where she expressed her enthusiasm for the yearlong partnership. She also stated that she had turned down many modeling gigs since coming out of retirement to appear in Sports Illustrated, but felt the partnership with Nine West was too good to turn down.

Sharing a video on her official Instagram account, where she has over 6 million followers, Tara announced the exciting news.

“Attention badass females! I am thrilled to announce my new partnership with @ninewest as their global ambassador. It’s both inspiring and exciting to partner with a brand that is committed to empowering the modern woman to give her the confidence to take on her life in the fiercest fashion. #NineWestxTyra #BanX #ad.”

In addition to her work with Nine West, Tyra is busy developing the first model-based theme park: Modelland. She’s written a young adult novel with the same title and has been developing the theme park based upon her love for Disney. Tyra is a groundbreaker who never turns down a challenge and fans are thrilled to see her vision for Modelland come to fruition.

Speaking to WWD, Tyra Banks explained the vision behind Modelland and answered the question what was on her bucket list. Tyra stated the following.

“Modelland is what’s on my bucket list. When I’m no longer here, I want young people to come to Modelland and not know who Tyra Banks was. I want to mean nothing to that kid and everything to their grandparents. That’s my dream.”

Modelland will be centered in Santa Monica’s Place mall and will feature a shopping complex as well as be an experience where those who attend will get a taste of what it’s like to be a model. Modelland is expected to span 21,000 square feet and is set to open before the end of 2019.
