Vanderpump Rules Star Stassi Schroeder Reveals She's On 'A Break' From Bestie Kristen Doute

Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder opened up about her feud with bestie Kristen Doute during a recent episode of her Straight Up with Stassi podcast, and she revealed that she is “taking a break” from her co-star. Schroeder made it clear that she still cares about her friend, but she needs a timeout from the friendship.

Schroeder didn’t hold back when talking about her friendship with Doute. She said that if taking a break from someone is a “b*tch move” and makes her nasty, then she doesn’t “give a f*ck.” Schroeder explained that sometimes you just can’t be in the same room with someone without wanting to kill them.

Rumors of a feud between Schroeder and Doute started this summer when Doute was a no-show at Schroeder’s engagement party with fiance Beau Clark. Around the same time Schroeder announced her engagement, she said on her podcast that they were in the homestretch from filming, and she only had a few days left. But, her brain was “mush” and the drama was killing her.

“I can’t anymore. I can’t talk about this sh*t anymore,” said Schroeder. “I’m literally dead inside.”

Schroeder’s mom Dayna spoke up on Instagram about the feud between her daughter and best friend when a fan asked for her thoughts on the situation. Dayna said the feud was “quite sad,” but she wasn’t aware of the particulars. She told fans not to worry, though, because it’s the circle of life, and each one of the girls will “grow, change, and come back to their original strong friendship bond that they’ve always had.” However, she added, some things do take time.

The Next Level Basic author didn’t mention the specifics of her fight with Doute, but she did say on her podcast that she has asked herself if she is going to “look like the a**hole in this situation,” or will it end up being Doute?

“I have no idea,” Schroeder said. “I’m prepared to look like the a**hole, but whatever it is, I’m like, ‘Listen, I have to take care of my own mental and emotional health first.’”

New episodes of Vanderpump Rules will return to Bravo later this year.
