Vanessa Bryant Shares Photo Of Unharmed Kobe/Gianna Mural Amid LA Protests

Many American cities have been under siege over the last week with demonstrators and protestors taking to the streets to protest the death of George Floyd while in police custody. Unfortunately, many of the protests have also had pockets of riots, damage, looting, and vandalism.

Rioters have defaced and looted buildings, however, one particular mural, went untouched. Vanessa Bryant posted on her Instagram Story earlier this week an image of a Kobe/Gianna mural that went unharmed amid the LA protests.

She wrote in the caption of her Instagram Story, “Kobe and Gianni,” along with the heart emoji. The 38-year-old Vanessa also shared a clip from the city’s Fairfax district, in which a burning building was depicted, in addition to a reporter stating that one of Kobe’s murals remained undefaced.

Another Instagram account that’s solely dedicated to the murals of Kobe Bryant, wrote a message which stated that everyone knows that Kobe Byrant and Gianna were “off-limits.” As it was previously reported, this January, Kobe, and Gianna were tragically killed in a helicopter accident.

At the time of his death, Kobe Bryant was 41-years-old and Gianna was 13-years-old. Vanessa now has Natalia, Bianka, and their 11-month-old child, Capri. Of course, Vanessa also had something to say about the death of George Floyd over the weekend.

She posted a picture of Kobe wearing an “I Can’t Breathe” t-shirt, referencing what Floyd was saying to the Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, who had his knee pressed onto his neck before he died.

Many commenters in the section below the photograph praised Vanessa and the legend of Kobe and their 13-year-old daughter. For instance, one commenter wrote, “I know that Kobe and Gianna would’ve supported what’s going on around the world right now.”

Since Floyd’s death, Chauvin lost his job and was also charged with murder and manslaughter. An additional three officers were also fired. Of course, the death of Floyd and the subsequent protests came right after the period of self-isolation that much of the Western world underwent following the COVID-19 pandemic.
