Wendy Williams Confronts New Bestie Nene Leakes About Past Feud: 'You Called Me A Man!'

Wendy Williams’ divorce is the best thing to happen to her in years. The now carefree spirit has been in the good graces of fans since starting her hot girl summer and has made new friends along the way – one of them being Nene Leakes.
Wendy was a fan of the Real Housewives of Atlanta star since the get-go but seemingly lost interest in her due to Leakes’ changing personality. As usual, the talk show host voiced her opinions with her live studio audience that ignited a feud between her and the Bravolebrity that lasted for years.
While reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, the 55-year-old directly called Nene on the phone and asked her where things went wrong between the two of them. They were merely acquaintances before the conversation, but after chopping it up — the two have become best friends.
On Tuesday, the RHOA star appeared as a guest on the show in one of the most hilarious interviews yet. The women have very different versions on where they went wrong.
Wendy said: ‘When we first met NeNe on the Housewives, she was like our big mouth friend who would say it like she meant it. She had a cute family, the laugh and that whole bit, just like keeping it real with NeNe. And then all of a sudden the paychecks got bigger and I feel the fame got in the way of remembering who we liked her for. And then you started acting like a real jerk on the show.’

She went on to say that Nene continued with her new persona which forced her to be ‘done’ with her.
According to the Glee alum, that’s not what happened.
Nene told guests: ‘You know how Wendy does her Hot Topics…and it was just ‘NeNe, this.’ ‘NeNe, that.’ And I was just like, ‘Well, dang, she is just really running my name in the dirt.’
She also brought up the Birkin bag criticism she received from the media queen.
Wendy interrupted to say: ‘And you called me a bitch or something… You called me a man or something!’
The two laughed it off and went on with their interview where Nene managed to shade both Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks.
