Prince William and Kate Middleton are doing their best to bury rumors that he had an affair with Rose Hanbury. With the speculation heating up, here is everything fans need to know about Hanbury and why she has suddenly found herself in the middle of a royal cheating scandal.

Hanbury lives just down the street from William and Middleton’s estate, Anmer Hall. Because they are practically neighbors, Middleton and Hanbury developed a friendship over the years. In recent months, however, their friendship reportedly soured and the two found themselves embroiled in a nasty feud.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, inside sources came forward and revealed that Middleton was unhappy about the feud leak and was considering opening a lawsuit against the media. With Middleton clearly disgusted by the rumors, word quickly spread that there was more to their falling out than meets the eye.

Per the rumor mill, the feud started because William had cheated on Middleton with Hanbury. Cheating scandals are not unusual among members of the royal family, but there may be some truth to Williams’ alleged affair.

For starters, William and Middleton have worked hard to keep the reports out of the press. There are also a few royal insiders that claim other members of the family have known about the affair for years.

For her part, Hanbury is well acquainted with British royal circles and made a name for herself as a model. After finding success modeling, she married a wealthy man named David Rocksavage George Philip Cholmondeley. The marriage boosted her fortunes and also granted her the title of the Marchioness of Cholmondeley.

Rose Hanbury also comes from a noble background and has been viewed as a rival to Middleton. Her grandmother is the child of an earl and was a bridesmaid to Queen Elizabeth. Hanbury and her husband currently have three children and live inside a lavish estate in Norfolk, called Houghton Hall.

Prince William has not commented on the cheating scandal.
