Working With Fifty Shades Star Jamie Dornan Was 'Intimidating' Claims Jemima Kirke

Starring on the hit television show Girls has given Jemima Kirke plenty of experience with savory scenes. But even a seasoned vet like Kirke was intimidated when she got under the sheets with Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan for their new movie Untogether.

The film follows two people, Nick (Dornan) and Andrea (Kirke), who have a one-night stand only to find out that their feelings for each other are a little more complicated than they previously thought. What started as a short fling ends up evolving into multiple hookups, which meant some very close scenes between the co-stars.

The actress recently opened up about starring alongside Dornan and admitted that she felt a little intimidated getting down and dirty with the hunky star. After confessing that Dornan looks like a “sculpture,” the actress revealed that it quickly became clear that Dornan knew exactly what he was doing.

At first the actress questioned his skills at shooting such an uncomfortable scene, but then she remembered the role that his most famous for.

“And I’m like, of course Fifty Shades – he knows what he’s doing,” she stated.

According to Daily Mail, Dornan’s character is a doctor who made a name for himself working in the Middle East. Kirke’s character, meanwhile, has a self-destructive personality and lives with her sister, Tara, who is portrayed by Kirke’s real-life sister, Lola Kirke.

The movie also stars Billy Crystal, Alice Eve, Ben Mendelsohn, and Jennifer Grey. The project was helmed by Emma Forrest. Untogether is scheduled to open in theaters this month.

Dornan’s new movie arrives a year after the third and final film in the Fifty Shades franchise hit theaters last year. While Dornan clearly knows how to handle savory scenes, he recently told fans that he is actually a shy person in real life. The actor revealed that he has always been shy in public and has struggled with confidence over the years.

Jamie Dornan has not said anything about Jemima Kirke’s savory scene revelations. The actor is currently married to Amelia Warner, which whom he shares two children.
