XXXTentaction's Baby Mama Welcomes The Slain Rapper's Baby!

The late rapper’s girlfriend has given birth to his baby! Earlier today, XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard shared with his many fans that Jenesis Sanchez has welcomed a son named Gekyume Onfroy.

‘We’re happy to confirm that baby, and the mother are both healthy. Gekyume’s name is derived from a word X created before his death meaning ‘a different state’ or ‘next’ universe of thought. XXXTentacion specifically chose the name for his firstborn son; his family’s honored to fulfill his wish and shower baby Gekyume with love,’ the statement reads.

As you may remember, the young rapper was only 20 years old when he was shot dead back in June in his own car.

At the time, he was in South Florida to shop for motorcycles.

Sadly enough, as he was leaving the bike dealer, someone ran up to his car and opened fire, shooting him in the neck.

Since then, four suspects have been arrested.

Back in July, a Fort Lauderdale grand jury indicted all of them for first-degree murder as well as armed robbery.

Not too long after his tragic passing, one rep shared with ET that his girlfriend was expecting his baby.

X’s mother also took to social media to confirm the news, posting a pic of a sonogram and captioning it: ‘He left us a final gift.’

It is very sad that the newborn will not get to ever meet his father but, like X’s mother also mentioned, it is like he left a present for those mourning him, and maybe one day, Gekyume can be his legacy.

That thought seems to be at least a little bit comforting to his pained fans and loved ones.
